About Pioneer Academy
Built for the families of Lar, and built to grow
We opened as a primary school because that is where a child's schooling is won or lost. Reading fluently, handling numbers confidently and enjoying the school day are not warm-ups for real education - they are the foundation everything later stands on.
Our development plan adds the middle and secondary stages one at a time, with the building, laboratories and staff in place before each stage opens. A child who joins us in the foundational years is joining a school they can finish.

The policy organises schooling into four stages. We run the first two today; the next two are planned in sequence.
Foundational Stage
Play, activity and discovery. Oral language, early reading and number sense built through materials rather than worksheets.
